This photo dates to the early 19th century and shows Agglestone Rock, also known as the Devil's Anvil on Studland Heath with its distinctive anvil shape before it fell onto its side in the mid 1900s.
It is a sandstone block of about 400 tonnes weight, perched on a conical hill, approximately 1 mile from the village of Studland.
