Car Parks
in Local Area Information

Below is a list of the car parks in Swanage. You can also park on many of the roads in town but make sure that you look out for the parking restriction signs which are on some of the roads around the town centre.

Short Stay

Durlston Country Park

Directions: From the town centre go up either Park Road or Seymer Road and then continue up the hill to a crossroads, Continue straight ahead down the valley and up Lighthouse Road, the car parks are at the top of the hill on the Left and Right.


Town Centre/Coop Car Park

Directions: From the railway station go along Kings Road. Turn right at the Supermarket and then left into the car park.


Mermond Place Short Stay Car Park

Directions: From the railway station go up Rempstone Road and then turn right Station Place. The car park is directly ahead at the end of this road. Do NOT try to enter the car park from Victoria Avenue as there is no entry from this direction.


Long Stay

Swanage Pier (Lower High Street)

Directions:From the town centre turn left towards the quay. Swanage Pier is at the end of the High Street. Parking spaces on the pier are limited and are offered on a first come first served basis.


Main Beach (Victoria Avenue)

Directions:From the town centre follow the one way system to the corner of Kings Road East and the High Street. Turn RIGHT at the end of Kings Road East, straight ahead at the mini roundabout up along Rempstone Road to the traffic lights. Turn LEFT at the lights and the car park is on the LEFT in Victoria Avenue.

North Beach Car Park

Directions:From the railway station turn into Rempstoen Road. At the end of Rempstone Road turn right and then left into De-Moulham Road. Continue up this road to the end where you will see the car park directly ahead

Broad Road Car Park

Directions:From the town centre turn left towards the quay. Take the Second on the right onto Seymor Road left into the car park. Park either in the space on the left or the larger park area on the right approx.
