The Accommodation

Our property is a quaint 3 storey stone 19th c. cottage, situated at the end of a terrace facing other similar cottages across a quiet walkway, in the oldest part of Swanage near the Mill pond. A 5 minute walk from beach and town and Townsend Nature Reserve. Modernised in a contemporary style it still retains much of its original character.
The 2 bedrooms can accommodate 3.
The garden floor has a well equipped kitchen, renovated bathroom with power shower, sunny conservatory leading to a walled garden with decking. Free street parking nearby.
Close to town, beaches, pubs and lovely walks.
The cottage is cosy, centrally heated, with a light and airy feel - an ideal place for couples or small families. It is perfect for up to 3 adults but can accommodate more on request with use of a sofa bed in the lounge.
Entered at street level, a small ‘snug’ leads to a lounge area with stripped wooden floors. The lounge is equipped with TV, DVD player, and Wifi. There are views across to the Ballard Down to the rear, and to the quiet walkway to the front of the cottage.
Upstairs, the master bedroom is equipped with a kingsize oak double bed – and ample storage is provided in a large fitted wardrobe. Views are offered of Ballard Downs across the rooftops of the neighbouring cottages with a glimpse of the sea.
The small second bedroom contains an oak single bed and a small fitted wardrobe. The room overlooks the facing cottages in the terrace.
Downstairs, the kitchen is modern and well equipped with ceramic hob, dishwasher, washer-dryer, and full-sized fridge-freezer and microwave.
The bathroom is found on this floor, and includes a electric shower and an under stairs storage area.
The kitchen leads on to the conservatory with a dining table, seating 6. French doors lead out to the garden.
The garden is compact, walled and enclosed with mature shrubs. There are two decked areas with a table and seating for 4.
A sunny spot in which to relax with a glass of something at the end of a busy day or for some alfresco dining.
Note - stairs are a little steep but manageable for most. There are no stair gates for very little ones.

From Swanage town centre go straight up the high street and just past Arkwrights store turn left along Townsend Road ( Black Swan in front of you) and the turning to Dunford Place is on the left. Free parking on Townsend Road and park in Dunford Place to unload.
