Flying Scotsman 60103 and tender

A wider view of No. 60103 Flying Scotsman in Swanage station yard, showing the full length of the locomotive and her coal-laden tender, which carries the British Railways crest on its lined green side.

She’s coupled to a maroon carriage. Two crew members on the running plate polish the boiler while others gather at track level beside the driving wheels for checks and oiling. Behind the line, a row of brightly painted buses sits in the neighbouring depot, and beyond them Swanage’s rooftops climb the hillside towards the downs. in the distance.
