Our school is an attractive Victorian building constructed of Purbeck stone and has a reputable history going back to 1897 when it was first built. The school has served generations of Swanage families, if met with blank expressions when mentioning Swanage Primary School to the older locals try Mount Scar after the road in which it sits, as it is still affectionately known.
