August 2023 Website Update and News
In the past few months, we have been working on many changes to the website behind the scenes, which improve the speed and compatibility of the website with both mobile and desktop computer users.
The local directory section currently has 242 listings, with several businesses sadly closing in the past year and new companies adding their details for free to the website.
In the past year, we have added over 120 old and new photographs of the area to the gallery virtual-swanage.co.uk/gallery
We are always looking for old photographs of the area to add to the gallery, and if you have any old images you would like to share, please contact us.
At the start of July, we added a webcam to the website located at our home, which uploads a new photo every 30 seconds to the site at virtual-swanage.co.uk/gallery/webcams
We are also creating timelapse videos from the images, which are added to our YouTube channel youtube.com/channel/UCROodcS7Y3Cm6F2M1bPzW8Q
Website Visitors
The number of visitors to the website started similar to 2022, but May, June, and July have almost doubled the previous year, with the first 8 days of August being similar to the entire month in 2022.
