National Trust event. Meet before dawn, and go on an expedition into the Purbeck Heaths to find the wonderful sika deer browsing in the autumn mist. Rise and shine with the dawn chorus for this guided walk to spot Purbeck's largest mammals in the wild. Learn how they influence our landscape and about our work to monitor their numbers.

Meeting point: Castle View visitor centre, situated at the foot of the castle mound at 7.00am. Postcode BH20 5DR.

What to bring and wear: Walking boots and appropriate outside weather clothing for conditions.

Accessibility: Walking over Hartland Moor (heathland), uneven underfoot can be muddy.
