Pikilily is a community-based organisation dedicated to female empowerment in Tanzania.

They are transforming the lives of Tanzanian women in Mwanza by training them as motorcycle mechanics, first aiders and riders of motorcycle ambulances which will be used to reduce maternal mortality in remote areas of Tanzania.

Sheonagh Ravensdale is a Dorset-based motorcycle enthusiast who has been instrumental in supporting Pikilily.

Sheonagh will tell us about the challenges, successes and setbacks involved in setting up this unique and exciting project and update us on the progress of their young apprentices as they take their first steps towards financial independence and making a difference in their community.
