Remake of the 1976 American musical romantic drama film about a young singer who meets and falls in love with an established star
In this new take on the tragic love story, Bradley Cooper plays seasoned musician Jackson Maine, who discovers--and falls in love with--struggling artist Ally (Gaga). She has just about given up on her dream to make it big as a singer... until Jack coaxes her into the spotlight. But even as Ally's career takes off, the personal side of their relationship is breaking down, as Jack fights an ongoing battle with his own internal demons.
This is a long anticipated remake of the 1976 American musical romantic drama film about a young singer (Barbra Streisand) who meets and falls in love with an established rock and roll star (Kris Kristofferson), only to find her career ascending while his goes into decline. That film was a remake of the 1937 original drama starring Janet Gaynor and Fredric March, which had previously been adapted in 1954 as a musical starring Judy Garland and James Mason..
