Jim O'Neill and Jon Snow are the two castaways for PAW Festival's Purbeck Island Discs.
Jim O'Neill or Baron O'Neill of Gatley has been chairman of Goldman Sachs Asset Management, Commercial Secretary to the Treasury, and coined the acronym BRIC. He currently sits on the board of the Northern Powerhouse, chaired a review that noted the dangers of over prescribing antibiotics - when at home in Purbeck can often be seen out running when not at the Square & Compass!
Jon Snow is well known as the longest running presenter of Channel 4 News (since 1989). He played a key role in developing the Horizon Centre for homeless young people in central London, and was ITV's Washington correspondent and diplomatic editor before becoming main presenter of Channel 5 news. He as reported on events around the world and has been a global champion of human rights, free speech and several social and environmental charities.
Discs will be spun by resident DJ Jack Daniels.
