Purbeck Environment Action Team Meeting
The future of Swanage Household Recycling Centre will be one of the issues discussed along with other environmental concerns at the forthcoming Purbeck Environment Action Team (PEAT) meeting 7.30pm at the Granary pub meeting room on Wareham Quay on Thursday 20 November.
PEAT is a group of like-minded individuals working towards sustainability in Purbeck. We encourage “living lightly” and sharing the Earth’s resources fairly.
PEAT is a Dorset Agenda 21 (DA21), Community Choices for Sustainable Living (CCSL) group that formed in June 2006. DA21 is an independent charity that works co-operatively with local people, communities, businesses, educational bodies, local government and other organisations to encourage sustainable living in Dorset.
The Red Lion Charity Auction
This coming Friday (21st of November) the Red Lion pub in Swanage is holiday a charity auction in aid of NSPCC and Swanage Hospital. The Red Lion staff will be up for auction themselves and you could be lucky enough to win a slave for the day. There will also be a large raffle with prizes donated from local businesses.
Live music will be provided by "Toned F" and raffle tickets are on sale NOW !
Swanage Rotary Club - Coffee Morning
Just a heads up to say the Swanage and Purbeck Rotary Club is holding a coffee morning at the Mowlem Community Room on Saturday the 29th of November.
The time will be 10:00am - 12:00 Noon, and it's in aid of there Africa Appeal.
Entrance will be £1 including coffee and a mince pie.
There will also be a cake stall, a grand draw, gifts and produce along with a tombola.
