Missing Dog - Lab/retriever
Lab/retriever Honey went missing on Monday 15 February 2010 from Kennels at Woolgarston near Studland and Corfe Castle in Dorset.
Honey has been seen near the Wytch farm oil field, and on 21 February was seen near Woolgarston, Corfe Castle, but she is a very nervous dog and could not be caught, although it is thought that if someone with a dog approaches her carefully it may be possible to catch her. Honey has been mocro-chipped.
She is wearing a disc with her name on it,and a green micro-chip tag. Honey is a much loved pet and companion and her owners are desperate to have her back.
If you see Honey , please ring her owners on 01929 425340 or 07847 242002.

Time running out for Swanage rail plan cash
Source: http://www.bournemouthecho.co.uk/news/5018387.Time_running_out_for_Swanage_rail_plan_cash/
The deadline to secure £3 million funding to reconnect Swanage to the mainline rail network is fast approaching.
Network Rail bosses need to know the money is in place by the end of February, or the project could be delayed indefinitely.
Campaigners, councillors and Purbeck business leaders are pushing for the reconnection, after an absence of mainline services for more than three decades.
Purbeck wind farm objectors to renew fight

PURBECK planning chiefs have set the deadline to lodge comments on a controversial wind farm at East Stoke.
Green energy company Infinergy has submitted proposals detailing four huge 125-metre turbines for Masters Quarry, Puddletown Road, Purbeck.
Concerned residents and green energy supporters have until March 9 to register their comments with Purbeck District Council planners.
Infinergy’s previous application for six turbines was withdrawn, after consultation with various bodies, in favour of the four turbine site.

Watch your speed
The dorset speed camera vans are out in the area at the moment, there was one at Corfe Castle tonight at the bottom of the castle and there have been several sightings in Ulwell trying to catch people as they come into the 30 limit.
Please watch your speed and keep within the limits and if anyone sees one of the vans or cameras on the side of the road, please post it on here and then we can all be happy knowing they are keeping the roads safe for us and it is not anything to do with making money.
Holes in the roads
Just a warning to anyone driving along Priests road to be careful of the big hole in the road just above Gordon Road, I saw someone come off their bike earlier when they hit it and it looked fairly deep so it could damage your car if you drive down it!
Good and Poor customer service
I was talking to a friend today about the number of companies who don’t seem to want your business due to a lack of communication, either failing to call back or completely ignoring your attempts to contact them to either use their services or buy something.
Personally I have enquired with local companies for new double glazing and with an estate agent about a property in the last month and they haven’t bothered to reply so they must be too busy to need any new customers.
I am sure there are businesses in the area who offer good customer service so if any of our blog readers have had a good shopping experience they can name the shop or business?
Swanage James Day Residential Home to Close
James Day Home in New Swanage will be closing as a residential home which is planned for the end of March / early April.
There is to be a meeting at the home on Thursday 4th Feb when the residents will be told that they are to be relocated.
The home has had many thousands of pounds spent on it over recent months and the standard of care and facilities provided are excellent so the choice by Dorset County Council to vastly increase the rent the owners have to pay making it no longer viable to keep open seems very unfair on both the residents and staff who have worked very hard to look after the elderly residents and run the home.
