Gretenham, Swanage

Gretenham, an Edwardian town house situated in the Conservation area of Swanage, is situated two minutes from the beach and town centre. The first floor bedroom is luxuriously appointed with king size bed, mirrored furniture, flat screen TV, tea and coffee making facilities, original marbled fireplace and has a view towards the sea. The en-suite bathroom is fitted with large built in shower, heated towel rail, sink and toilet with plenty of fresh white towels and complimentary soaps and shampoos. Breakfast (choice of menu) is served in the bay window of your bedroom, in full sunlight on good days, at a time of your choice between 8.00 am and 9.30 am.

NEW FOR JULY AND AUGUST: Our luxurious second floor bedroom will be available from mid-July to late August and on some weekends. Fully ensuite with all the facilities of the first floor room, we offer a superkingsize double bed and quality furnishings in a country house style. Breakfast served in the room. Binoculars supplied for the views over towards the Isle of Wight!

Please note we are UNABLE to accommodate children of any age in these rooms.

Gretenham is open all year and is personally supervised by Lulu Condie.
Our extensive local knowledge will be shared with you to direct you to the best restaurants, cafes and pubs in town - which are all literally at the bottom of the road - local walks, beaches and events.

Directions

Drive into town centre and follow one way system until the junction with the High Street. Stafford Road is directly ahead between the White Swan and Curiosity. Gretenham is situated half way up on the right hand side. Unlimited parking is available in Stafford Road and adjoining roads.

We spent a Saturday night at Gretenham during high summer. The owner Lulu was very friendly and accommodating. The room at the front of the house was gorgeous, furnished to an exceptionally high standard, we couldn't fault it. Breakfast was served in the bay window of the bedroom, cooked perfectly. We will definately recommend Gretenham to others.. many thanks..

This was a lovely place to stay. The house was interesting and very very clean, the room excellent and bathroom immaculate. Our breakfast was great and we had a very good choice. Our landlady was so helpful and pointed us in the right direction for some fun times locally. Wonderfully this is totally central to the town and so a short walk to many great restaurants, the beach and bars. Will be going back very soon. You should go!

What a lovely place to stay! The room was first class with lovely furnishings and a smart and spotlessly clean bathroom. John and Lulu were very welcoming and provided a great breakfast. We only stayed one night, but will certainly return for a longer stay next time.
